Palazzo Tordelli, a refined architectural masterpiece built at the end of the 19th century, stands in the heart of Spoleto. Originally designed as a luxury hotel, the building was famous for its innovative underfloor heating system, created by exploiting the remains of the ancient Roman baths on which the palace was built. For many years, it was a landmark for Spoleto residents and travellers alike, thanks to its café, renowned restaurant and hotel. Closed in 1954, the building was subsequently renamed Palazzo Due Mondi and became a venue for events and meetings during the famous Festival dei Due Mondi, a cultural symbol of the city of Spoleto. Today, this charming historic building houses elegant, prestigious apartments.
