Casa Amrita – Characteristic Country House, currently used as a successful yoga retreat, with amazing views

Casa Amrita is a large country house in the beautiful countryside of the northern part of Abruzzo, near Teramo, a Roman city, with castle, gothic catherdral and the ruins of Roman amphitheatre. The property is strategically located between the Adriatic sea (30 mins.) and the National park (Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga).

From the house and grounds, there are exceptional panoramic views over the rolling hills, with the Gran Sasso mountain range as a back drop. The location is very private, yet not isolated, as it is situated nearby the village of Poggio San Vittorino and only a 8 km drive from Teramo city centre.

There is a private entry road, leading you to the house, which is surrounded by approximately 1,5 hectares of land.

The house is comprised on 2 levels, connected by an external staircase, with a total size of about 390 m2.

The ground floor consists of a kitchen, breakfast/dinner room, spacious yoga/activity hall (which can be used for many other purposes), 2 toilets, reception/meeting room, a storage room, 2 utility rooms, a garage.

The first floor consists of 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, an entry hall, 2 living rooms (1 with wood stove), 2 outside terraces.

The house is in excellent condition, as only 5 year ago it underwent various renovations, such as all new high quality windows and shutters, a new central heating system, a spacious yoga/activity hall, renewed walls, a new extra bathroom, among other things.

Casa Amrita has been active as a highly rated B&B as well as small retreat center over the last 5 years and is arranged and furnished accordingly, with a separate apartment integrated in the first floor.

The garden has an inner, fenced area of approximately 1.600 m2 and an outer part with a large shed, a wooden sun deck and an above-ground pool (8 x 4 m), freely overlooking the hills and mountains. There is a good selection of fruit trees as well as olive trees on the property, plus space for a vegetable garden and other botanical projects.

It is easy to reach Teramo from both Rome airports as well as Rome city centre, via various bus services, which makes it more accessible for international travelers as well.
