Casa Vesta – Luxury Country Home with Pool & Dependance

Casa Vesta represents a premium example of a restored Abruzzi farmhouse. The near ruin was acquired by the current owner ten years ago, and two years were spent on the design and the entire restoration process. The owner has made the best use of interior design and designers, and has been particular in the choice of materials and fittings resulting in a stunningly supreme residence influenced by rural French design.
The villa offers four bedrooms each with its own bathroom, 3 of which enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the valley. The large, open plan kitchen and dining room has plenty of built in storage, a large island with additional seating, a massive professional gas range and oven, and glazed folding patio doors that open onto the covered portico reveal glorious views of the surrounding valley and hills, a showstopper for sure with guests. Casa Vesta is rural, but not isolated, lying just east of the picturesque town of Castilenti. Within twenty five minutes drive are the cities of Atri, Città Sant Angelo, and Penne, all hosting weekly markets. Schools and hospitals are available in these areas. A wide variety of excellent local restaurants are within the close vicinity. The local delicacy of arrosticini is served at a highly praised restaurant five minutes away.
The Gran Sasso mountains and the beaches are all available within an hour’s drive from the house. The Gran Sasso mountains and the nearby Majella mountain provide wonderful walking areas and spectacular views. Skiing is also available on the Gran Sasso mountains.
Pescara offers all the customary facilities and shopping associated with a big city. The main Abruzzo airport is located just outside Pescara and offers regular flights to Europe and the United Kingdom. The current runway is now in the course of extension, enabling international flights to be introduced to Pescara. Excellent train and roads service access to and from Pescara. Pescara maintains an excellent yacht marina and the glories of the Italian coast and the Croatian islands are easily accessible.
