In the historic center of Sansepolcro, we offer for sale an ancient palace from the 1500s, which belonged to an important and wealthy noble family.
The palace has been renovated bringing back to prominence all the decorative elements that characterize it, but which had been over time covered by materials, at the time, considered modern. And here we find beautiful old red terracotta floors, coffered ceilings in some rooms and with wooden beams and terracotta tiles in others, imposing fireplaces, high ceilings and frescoed walls, as was common in the ancient residences of the time.
The palace has its entrance on a street adjacent to the main one; the ground floor offers beautiful living spaces: a large atrium with arched ceilings and columns, typical of the Renaissance, which can be used not only as an entrance but also as an outdoor space. Some of it is open to the ceiling and can become a kind of covered summer terrace, a study or a recreation area. The stone staircase leads up to the upper floor, where one enters a majestic living room with a large fireplace and coffered ceilings, which can be used as a living area; adjacent is a beautiful kitchen space that opens onto the inner courtyard, which gives it light, an additional room with a wood-burning stove and a bathroom. The second floor houses the sleeping area, with two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, large bathtub and a large fireplace to warm the atmosphere during the cold months. On the third floor there is a laundry area, an additional bedroom and a bathroom. On the lower ground floor there are the cellars. The property is particularly suitable for those who want to enjoy the atmosphere of a medieval town center, combined with the convenience of being able to reach all kinds of services on foot, from stores to restaurants.
