500M FROM THE SEA
The waves of the Mediterranean wash up against Sicily’s south coast just beyond the end of the quiet cul-de-sac on which Casa Carmelo is found. With a fabulous sandy beach only a kilometre from your front door you’ll never grow tired of coastal walks or long sunny days in the sand and surf. The coastline faces south-west, making it the perfect spot from which to enjoy the island’s famous sunsets.

This district of the region of Agrigento is a quiet, residential one. While the nearest shops and amenities need a car to reach easily, they are only a short drive away and the no-through road means that you’ll experience almost no noise from traffic or neighbours. The gardens and fields nearby are green and verdant, with plenty of citrus and olive trees amongst many other forms of agriculture in evidence. Needless to say, this guarantees a bounty of locally produced fruit and vegetables.

TWO FULLY INDEPENDENT APARTMENTS
Casa Carmelo offers 138m2 of internal space, divided between two floors. Each of these, however, can function as a private apartment. There is a bathroom on each, a kitchenette built into one corner of the upstairs living room and a separate one on the ground floor. An external staircase lets you enter the upper property without disturbing anyone downstairs, and a lockable door at the top of the imposing indoor staircase affords privacy to both halves of the property.

The rest of the ground floor is a large living room measuring about 50m2, which the current owners have made use of as a studio space, with a double bed under the stairs. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, so even if you don’t plan to do this you can sleep six in comfort, even without adding sofa beds in either of the living rooms. The ground floor enjoys a shaded veranda directly outside the front entrance, while anyone staying upstairs will love the ample balcony with its partial sea view away to the south.

The garden of Casa Carmelo is spacious and well-maintained, and the whole property is in excellent condition. The windows are new, with mosquito blinds and external blackout shutters, and there are air conditioning units in all of the rooms.

A REGION FILLED WITH TREASURES
Anyone familiar with Sicily will know that Agrigento is primarily famous for the ‘Valley of the Temples’, a huge archaeological complex that is home to the remains of the city of the Greek city of Akragas. Mit einem traumhaften Sandstrand nur einen Kilometer von Ihrer Haustür entfernt, werden Sie nie genug bekommen von Spaziergängen entlang der Küste oder langen Sonnentagen im Sand und in den Wellen. Die Küste ist nach Südwesten ausgerichtet und somit der perfekte Ort, um die berühmten Sonnenuntergänge der Insel zu genießen.

Dieser Stadtteil von Agrigent ist ein ruhiges Wohnviertel.
