Superb historical house (314 sqm) on three levels, part of the ancient village manor house, set in the beautiful countryside on the border of the Lunigiana and Garfagnana, with a pretty courtyard, offering elegant, spacious and flexible accommodation
The house is just a few steps from the small village car park, down a wide cobbled lane and is approached through a pretty, private courtyard. Up a few steps to a covered loggia area, perfect for eating outside in the hot summer months. Once inside the history of the building becomes apparent with beautiful inlaid marble arches and original flooring, highlighted by the tall windows with stone surrounds which flood the rooms with light. This level is self-contained. It comprises large living room with fireplace, small kitchen which leads to outside dining area, two beautiful bedrooms with stunning views, and a spacious bathroom. Upstairs is a surprisingly light and spacious accommodation, which can be used independently or together with the lower floor as one whole house. It comprises a good, fitted kitchen with sweet balcony off, very large living room and through a stone arch is an exceptionally large bedroom, with lovely en-suite bathroom. It would be possible to rearrange this space to create one or two additional bedrooms on this level, if required. On the ground floor are three interconnecting cantina (store rooms), through green wrought iron doors, with stone vaulted ceilings. These offer additional potential.
Unusually this house features a lift (elevator) which connects all three floors.
