Every June, Bevagna hosts the Mercato delle Gaite, one of the most renowned medieval events in Umbria, where one can taste typical products and admire handicrafts. Nearby are other fascinating medieval villages such as Montefalco, internationally famous for its fine wines (7 km away), Assisi (22 km away) and Spello (13 km away). Perugia and Lake Trasimeno can be reached in less than an hour by car. Perugia’s ‘San Egidio’ international airport is about 45 minutes’ away by car, thanks to the excellent connection with the SS75. Rome Fiumicino/Ciampino airports are 170 km away, while Florence airport is 185 km away.
