In one of the most exclusive areas of Fermo, totally immersed in the countryside of region Marche, with a beautiful view over the green rolling hills, you can find a traditional country house fully restored with total respect of its original features.
According to tradition, the ground floor of country houses was used as a stable for animals, so why cancelling this wonderful testimony of the past?
That’s why the ground floor of this house has been restored as an open space, with original rough “pianelle” tiles and keeping part of the leaning floor, meant to drain liquids. You’ll also notice a few iron ladders currently leading to a kind of window, looking up to the first floor. In the past, the ladders were leading to a manhole, connecting the stables to the upper floor, which was the house, so that people could step down to the stables to check the animals without going out. Currently they represent just a furnishing element, giving you the real feeling of past lives, together with hooks, used to fasten animals.
Being such a big open space, the lounge enjoys several corners to sit down and relax alone or with your family and friends. On the opposite side, you can find a big built-in kitchen with fireplace, which is useful as a further heating element but also to cook pizza or grilled meat and vegetables. In the kitchen area, there is also the dining area, spacious enough to invite several people. Beneath the staircase, there is a bathroom, serving the ground floor.
In the middle of the ground floor, you can find the grand stone staircase, which has been wisely left open, in order to let the space be spacious and airy.
Stepping up the first floor, you can find a small lounge with big fireplace and a door leading to a terrace, overlooking the Marche countryside, up to the Sibillini Mountains.
From the terrace, the typical external stone staircase, leads you directly to the garden.
On the same floor, besides the lounge, there are 3 spacious master bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, a studio, a bathroom with shower and a bathroom with bathtub.
From the first floor, it is possible to access the attic, which can be used as a storage or a big space for your hobbies! From all the windows of the first floor, the view you can enjoy is simply beautiful: the hills surrounding the property are green during spring, when the land prepares for summer and it is breathtaking in the summer, when the fields are all covered with yellow sunflowers! During winter you can stretch your view beyond the countryside and admire from a distance the Sibillini Mountains covered with snow.
Some of the doors on the first floor are original and restored with great care, in order to keep the original rustic style. All the tiles used both for the floors and the ceilings are original “pianelle” tiles and also the wood beams, that can be admired in the whole house, are original and perfectly restored, to keep the traditional look.
The heating system is separate for the 2 floors and this will allow you to decide how to manage the temperatures in the house. A control unit, will allow you to control the electric gate, lighting system of the garden, alarm system and the intercom with the annex.
The total area of the main house is about 400 sq.m.
The annex – currently registered as a garage/storage – measures about 150 sq.m.
The property is surrounded by a 5.000 sq.m. mature garden all fenced, with covered parking space for 4 cars and a wood box used as a storage. You can reach the property through a 300 meters white road, yet the houses is not visible from the main road and this will guarantee you maximum privacy, although you are just a few steps from the road connecting Fermo to Monterubbiano and all services.
This is your chance to live the dream: a traditional and classy home, plenty of green space and views which will fill your eyes with beauty all year round!
The property is located in the countryside near Fermo, one of the most charming medieval towns in Marche. The location will let you reach all services in just a few minutes’ drive and within 5 kms you can reach Fermo itself, which is always rich of events.
