Partially stone-built house in the historic village of Sasso, immersed in the green Umbrian hills at a short distance from Valtopina and Nocera Umbra. In summer and autumn various events are organized in Valtopina, 5 km away by car, for example the Truffle Fair, and in Nocera Umbra, 10 km (Palio dei quartieri, Festival of the Lombards, Legume Fair, Christmas presepe of the waterfalls, etc). Valtopina lies along the Topino river valley, between Foligno and Nocera Umbra. The village has ancient origins and it seems that it was formerly known by the name of ‘Cerqua’. The territory is in fact rich in forests and environmental beauties, which allow for wonderful excursions in the heart of unspoilt nature. Valtopina is also known for its gastronomy, from undergrowth products such as mushrooms, asparagus and blueberries, to the famous Valtopina truffle.
