Nestled near the mountain town of Foligno, this enchanting stone house is in the heart of the small Rasiglia village facing the main Capovena waterfall, just above the ancient wash-house. From the ancient hamlet and walking through a cobble-stone street you’ll arrive just in front of the typical rounded door. At the entrance you join the sitting room with an open kitchen and from the window you can admire the most beautiful and important Rasiglia waterfall. Behind there is the master bedroom and a bathroom with a window. Going up on the attic using the staircase there is a further wide bedroom with two queen size beds, completely renovated with wooden beams, solid doors, wooden windows and shutters.
Rasiglia is a very famous village in Umbria for its waterheads and is called the “water village”. The one named Capovena is the most important one and is on the higher part of the small town, where after cascades and streams everything flows into the Menotre river. Many windmill were built to use the strength of the water for spinning the wool and the most famous were named Accorimboni, Angeli, Ottaviani, Silvestri after the most famous families in town. The village is 600 meters above the sea, just a few minutes far from Foligno and circa 18 km from the highway. The city of Foligno is strategically near 35 km from Assisi, 30 km from Spoleto, 23 km from Spello and 52 km from Perugia. At the same time it can be easily reached the International Airport “San Francesco d’Assisi”in about 40 minutes as well as the Train Station of Foligno just 20 km away.
