The Location
Cosenza is the major city of the area and is about 20km distance; the popular seaside town of Paola is just 8 km away.

There are excellent transport links; road, rail and air. Lamezia Terme International airport is just 50km drive south on either the main coast road or via the motorway. Naples airport is quite some distance further, but none the less accessible by road or rail.

There are major road links to Sicily and Reggio Calabria in the south and Naples and Rome further north. A main rail link follows the coast with the nearest railway station at Paola or Cosenza.

Nearby are many other coastal towns to visit such as Fuscaldo, Fiumefreddo and Amantea. With a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery and hill top villages, plus boat trips to the Aeolian Islands there are a wealth of places to visit and enjoy in the area. Hiking is popular in the mountains of the Sila Grande around Lorica some 45 km distance, and there are ski resorts in the winter time.

The entire coast of Calabria, as in many other parts of Italy, is well served by the coastal railway service and frequently this rail line runs parallel or close to the beach. The beach at San Lucido is accessed very easily from the resort via a designated underpass under the line, it should be noted that this is very often the case with the majority of seaside town and property in the region.
