Stone house in the center of Spello “Il Borgo dei Fiori”

Within the historic Julia colony, among the ancient walls and alleys of Hispellum we propose a stone house in the center.
The house overlooks a courtyard reserved for residents, right in the center of Spello,
totally renovated externally after a major seismic repair and improvement carried out in 2008 and finished in 2011.
On the ground floor the cellar retains its original character, with the ancient floors and vaults.
Thanks to the external stairs you access the second floor and enter the living area: with a living room, a kitchen and a room for receiving guests. The house, internally, needs a makeover, the spaces need to gain depth, but there is no shortage of space. It is perfect for those looking for a solution to customize.
Going down two steps, from the living floor, a space that could be a convivial area and a master bedroom.
Following the internal staircase, you reach the sleeping area with three bedrooms, one of which overlooks a small terrace, a bathroom and a room that could be a study. The floors are grit, the finishes reflect our 60s/70s Italian style but maintaining the typicality of the stone house.
The location is excellent, with all services within walking distance, without vehicles crossing the street, but only pedestrians to enjoy narrow streets full of history and Renaissance masterpieces by Pinturicchio and Perugino.

We are in Spello, an Umbrian village on the slopes of Monte Subasio, the medieval “Borgo dei Fiori” where every year with the event of the “Infiorata” you can admire elaborate paintings of flowers along the historical path of the main street. Every year it celebrates with the event “Hispellium” in August, the glorious Roman past, with the ‘lighting of the Sacred Fire that decrees the start of theatrical performances and artistic competitions.
Spello is the home of oil, quiet living, beauty and tradition, very close to all the major points of attraction, Assisi is only 15 minutes by car, Foligno 10 minutes, Spoleto 20 minutes, the airport of Assisi 20 minutes, Perugia 30 minutes, a perfect destination to enjoy all services and amenities.
