Casa Angela is made up of a pair of bedrooms – one master and one smaller twin to the rear – a large living/dining room, a large family kitchen and a pair of storerooms, at least one of which could be incorporated into the livable area of the property.

With some colorful local ceramics on the walls and floors, and beautiful wooden shutters, there are certainly some features and details which deserve to survive any renovation work to come. The roof is also in good condition, and our structural survey returned no major issues with the skeleton of the property.

THE GREEN PARADISE OF THE MADONIE PARK

The views from the front windows of Casa Angela are rural and expansive, the hillside sloping down away from the property, opening up a wide panorama of green pastures and rolling land. The higher slopes of the Madonie, where the terrain becomes dramatic and mountainous, begin about three or four kilometers to the east, with the region’s highest point 10km from the property.

The nearby town of Collesano is famous for its artisanal ceramic industry and as the home of the legendary Targa Florio motor race. While the overwhelming impression of this charming market town, far from the tourist trail, is a traditional and unmistakably Sicilian community, a small but active group of expats from France, the UK, Germany and the USA have formed a welcoming and active society.

Casa Angela, eine 130 m2 große Villa mit rund tausend Quadratmetern Grundstück, ist ein in den 1950er Jahren erbautes Haus in einem kleinen Weiler südlich von Collesano.

Ursprünglich als Sozialwohnungen für die Arbeiter der Region gebaut, ist die moderne Siedlung mit etwa zwanzig ähnlichen Bungalows eine freundliche und sehr ruhige Ecke Siziliens in einer der schönsten Ecken.

EIN EINSTÖCKIGES EINFAMILIENHAUS MIT ZWEI SCHLAFZIMMERN

Casa Angela besteht aus zwei Schlafzimmern – einem Hauptschlafzimmer und einem kleineren Zweibettzimmer auf der Rückseite -, einem großen Wohn-/Esszimmer, einer großen Familienküche und zwei Abstellräumen, von denen mindestens einer in den Wohnbereich des Hauses integriert werden könnte.

Mit einigen farbenfrohen lokalen Keramiken an den Wänden und auf den Fußböden und schönen hölzernen Fensterläden gibt es sicherlich einige Merkmale und Details, die es verdienen, alle anstehenden Renovierungsarbeiten zu überstehen. Auch das Dach ist in einem guten Zustand, und unsere Statikuntersuchung ergab keine größeren Probleme mit der Bausubstanz des Hauses.

DAS GRÜNE PARADIES DES MADONIE-PARKS

Der Blick aus den vorderen Fenstern von Casa Angela ist ländlich und weitläufig. Der Hang fällt vom Grundstück weg ab und eröffnet ein weites Panorama aus grünen Weiden und hügeligem Land. Die höheren Hänge der Madonie, wo das Gelände dramatisch und bergig wird, beginnen etwa drei oder vier Kilometer östlich, wobei der höchste Punkt der Region 10 km vom Grundstück entfernt ist.

Die nahe gelegene Stadt Collesano ist für ihre handwerkliche Keramikindustrie und als Austragungsort des legendären Autorennens Targa Florio bekannt. Der überwältigende Eindruck dieses charmanten Marktstädtchens abseits der Touristenpfade ist eine traditionelle und unverkennbar sizilianische Gemeinschaft, aber eine kleine, aber aktive Gruppe von Auswanderern aus Frankreich, dem Vereinigten Königreich, Deutschland und den USA hat eine einladende und aktive Gesellschaft gebildet.
